The Weight of Glory

“The whole of creation groans for his glory” – Romans 8:22

“At present we are on the outside of the world, the wrong side of the door. We discern the freshness and purity of morning, but they do not make us fresh and pure. We cannot mingle with the splendours we see. But all the leaves of the New Testament are rustling with the rumour that it will not always be so. Some day, God willing, we shall get in.”

There will be a time when the weight of glory will shatter the pull of gravity…when we put on this, ‘greater glory’, we will know fully that the nature we’re now living through is only the first sketch. – C.S.Lewis

“Bad times, good times. We are the times, such as we are, such are the times.” – St. Augustine

It is not length of life, but depth of life. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Eternity begins with the gathering of the sea; the first sound wave is heard at the line where it gathered.

“All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from, there they return again.” – Ecc. 1:7

See the gathering of the sea from the Creator’s perspective, and you will see the invisible creative system imprinted in the heart of his creation. Behold slowly, listen carefully and hear the Master Artist’s heartbeat in each blue painted drop. As the waves crash to shore and retreat back into the gathering, listen to the Artist’s inhale and exhale – his very breath can be heard in the heartbeat of the sea.
