”Art is an ocean of beauty without shores. It transcends all boundaries” – Sir Nasser David Khalilli
“We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, unremembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.”
~ An extract from “Little Gidding”, the fourth poem from T.S. Eliot’s ‘Four Quartets.
God works all things together for good. If the waves roll against you, it only speeds your ship towards the port. – Charles Spurgeon
“And the Sea, went back to it’s place.” – Exodus 14:27

“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” – Jacques Cousteau
The Sea…a stillness that moves.

It is said that before entering the Sea
a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.
And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.
Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.
The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.
~ Khalil Gibran
The Sea…gives me courage this Kairos season.

The Sea…reflects Heaven’s Glory as it sleeps.

The Sea’s blue thread quietly mends my broken spirit.

The Sea…welcomes my tears and dirty feet into his home.

The Sea…paints a self-portrait, the sky his muse.

The Sea…a place of both gathering & solitude.

The Sea…is home to me.

“Home is not where you were born, home is where all your attempts to escape, cease.” – Naguib Mahfouz
The blue line that joins the Sea and sky is where you will find me this season.

“For whatever we lose (like a you or a me) it’s always ourselves we find… in the Sea.” – E.E. Cummings
